The Boston Chapter Leadership Committee was created by a vote of the Executive Committee in June, 2021. The purpose of this committee is to:

  • Create chapter-wide requirements that all activity committees will use to approve new leaders.
  • Provide leadership training. This includes training required to become a leader, wilderness first aid, and ongoing leadership development.
  • Assist activity committees in leadership-related topics, including a mechanism to provide feedback to leaders and assistance with any leadership problems that may arise.

The committee consists of nine members representing the various activities sponsored by the chapter, affinity groups from activity committees (i.e. 20s & 30s, families, 40+, Mountains and Music), a community engagement representative, and a member at large.
