Forty Plus Committee

Welcome! Forty Plus offers a wide range of activities for all who love the outdoors. We offer hiking trips, cross-country skiing, snow-shoeing, biking, paddling, and local walks. Whatever your interests or ability, we have trips you’ll enjoy–from challenging to relaxed, from day trips to weekends exploring interesting places throughout New England. Events are aimed at active people over 40, but open to all who enjoy the spirit of adventure and fun. BECOME A LEADER

Yes you can! The AMC Boston Chapter offers leadership training programs in the spring and fall. Fall leadership is an extended course that qualifies you to lead trips for Forty Plus, Hiking/Backpacking, Young Members, Biking, Skiing, and other Boston Chapter committees.

DID YOU KNOW?

Many leaders from the former Andover Committee are now leading for Forty Plus. Their trips include everything from show-and-go Boston-area walks to hikes in the White Mountains. You can find all 40+ trips on the continually updated Online Trip Listing.
