This is Part 3 of a 3-Part instructional series designed to introduce paddlers to kayaking along the ocean coast.
In this session, we will focus on planning and preparing for a day trip along the coast. We will meet on Zoom a few days before the class and go over nautical charts, tides, weather, and contingency planning. We'll assign everyone homework to plan our trip along the coast. On the day of the class, we'll discuss our plans and then navigate along our chosen route.
