Come get a rare glimpse at the Wachusett Dam and reservoir through the eyes of a park ranger. A ranger will open the gates to cross the dam at 12:45 pm and provide a short (20 minute) history of the dam and reservoir. After the presentation, we will spend 20-30 minutes around the dam exploring the fountain, the stairs, and the sweeping hillsides. For those interested, we will then follow a winding access road along the reservoir for a total of three miles. After a short steep section, the trail is very flat and easy walking with spectacular views of the water. Hike limited. Reserve your spot (s). Register with Liz Little, firstname.lastname@example.org or 267-240-2849.
