Please join Anne, Carl and Dutch (Carl's dog) on a spectacular day as we slide over the peaks of Mt. Tripyramid. We'll head up the north slide; hike across the ridge and down the south slide. The north slide rises 1,250 Ft in, approximately, 0.5 miles and is described as having steep, rocky slabs. The south slide descends, approximately, 800 Ft in 0.5 miles as is described as steep with loose gravel footing. This is a challenging hike, so, please be in good physical condition.
The total distance will be just over 11 miles with 3,000 Ft of elevation gain/loss.
Recent participation on hikes of similar distance and elevation gain is a pre-requisite.
Carl is an avid hiker who enjoys, mostly, day hikes in the Whites. He has completed the New England 100 Highest Peaks, two circuits of the New Hampshire 4,000 Footers and over 40 of the New Hampshire 4,000 Footers in Winter. Please read the trip description carefully, if it says 'Peak Bagger' or 'experienced hiker', the trip is goal oriented and will not be suitable for beginners. Otherwise, we'll be out for enjoyment and the chance to take in whatever life on the trail has to offer.
