Come out for an early spring (possible winter conditions) family friendly hike to beautiful Mt. Monadnock by way of lesser traveled southern trails. We will start late in the morning and keep a moderate pace. Plan on 5-6 hours of hiking. Trip is 4.6 miles with approximately 1800' of elevation gain. Hikers should have previous hiking experience and have gone out this past winter. A good section (0.4 miles) of this popular hike is above treeline giving you breathtaking 360 degree views. Please have warm layers, hat, gloves, and a wind jacket. Hand warmers are recommended as is foot traction. Bring the kids and have some fun! Rain or poor weather cancels. Lingering ice may result in leaders changing hike. Registration required. Contact Nadiya Teplyuk at firstname.lastname@example.org.

- "Awesome hike -- is Monadnock really the world's third most climbed mountain following Mount Fuji in Japan and Mount Tai in China?"
