Welcome to our 26th annual trip to the spectacular snow of Quebec!
Meet in Concord, NH on Tuesday evening & stay there the first night. Then
travel by chartered luxury bus north to enjoy some of the best, most reliable, scenic and extensive skiing in the east, plus the European charm, style and great restaurants of Quebec City.
Choice of DH or XC skiing, or snowshoeing, at Bretton Woods, NH or
Orford, QUE en route north on Wed., and in the Quebec City region on Thurs., Fri. & Sat.
These areas include Mt. St. Anne DH & XC, Camp Mercier & Sentier des Caps
de Charlevoix XC, & Le Massif & Stoneham DH. On Sunday, we'll plan to ski locally in the morning (with option to play tourist in Quebec City); or (if bad weather) leave Quebec in the morning and head directly back to Concord, NH. The decision will be based on weather, snow conditions and group preferences. Return to Concord, NH Sunday evening. End time on 3/5 is approximate. Start time on 2/28 is flexible per your own schedule, though many will meet to go to dinner at approx 7 pm. We will depart by bus together on Wednesday, 3/1
Up to 5 days of skiing at 10 different ski areas -- 5 XC & 5 DH. Also, possible visit to the truly unique Ice Hotel.
Maximum Group Size: Approx. 38 persons including leaders. Our bus has 54 seats.
To confirm your spot, contact the leader, Arnold Nadler and send a deposit check for $100 now, made out to Arnold Nadler and send to him at 43 Walter St, Salem, MA 01970. Receipt of your deposit will confirm your spot on the trip.
The balance of $570 is due on 1/1/2017, same procedure as the deposit.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations by 1/1/2017 will receive a full refund. Cancellations after 1/1/2017 will be refunded after the trip completion. Our policy is to refund cancelled reservations as far as possible on this cash-neutral trip and will depend upon our ability to fill a cancelled spot with a replacement participant, avoid on trip variable costs, and not cause participants to pay more due to a cancellation.Directions:
Our TBD Concord, NH hotel for the night of 2/28 will be easily accessible from I-93. Your trip fee includes 5 days parking at the hotel while we are in Quebec.
Mike Barry is a reformed alpine skier who leads multi day XC Ski tours in Maine, Quebec, Norway and the Whites with the Boston Chapter & Adventure Travel Committees. His favorite places to ski are Norway for BC touring (though Maine is close!) and downhill in the French Alps (now on Telemark skis). Mike has been involved in the Club as a Boston Chapter Chair, Club Board of Directors and is currently on the Adventure Travel Committee, and is an active chapter bike and ski leader.
