Trip dates: Monday, July 11, 2016 12:00 AM to Friday, July 15, 2016 12:00 AM

Pack your kayak and camping gear for a week of paddling in one of the premier scenic park areas in the nation. We will set up base camp at Bass Harbor Campground on Acadia. From Bass Harbor we will run sea kayak day trips to the Islands South and East of Bass Harbor in the vicinity of Goat Islands and the Cranberry Islands (Tue 7/12- Thur 7/14). We will also partner with Pinniped Kayak Adventures to provide a non-AMC group Rocks and Ledges skill development day trip (Fri 7/15). You will need to make your own reservations for camping (http://www.bassharbo.com/) and Pinniped kayaking (www.pinnipedkayak.com). Strong intermediate sea kayaking skills including self and assisted rescue skills and sea kayak and camping equipment required. Expect to paddle 12 to 14 miles each day. No meals are included but we will coordinate at least one group dinner out. AMC trip registration is required. Mention you are registered with the Boston AMC Sea Kayaking group when you contact the Bass Harbor Campground and Pinniped Kayaking after registering with us.
