The Swiss Alps are synonymous with Switzerland and the main draw for tourists and locals alike. An incredible network of signed bike routes and hiking trails have been developed not only through the Alps but connecting to all the cities in the country. Join David Loutzenheiser on a journey through Switzerland by foot and bike exploring how the journey is just as exciting as the destination. Also learn about an effort to bring such a trail network to the Boston area.

Potluck Info: Participation in the potlucks is optional, yet useful for that post-office work hunger. Homemade dishes are welcome, store bought goodies & takeout are equally welcome. Plates, bowls, cups, cutlery, napkins and drink pitchers will be supplied. The auditorium has a kitchen if you need to do any re-warming or prep (stovetop, oven, microwave, sink & fridge). Julie most enjoys leading challenging backpacks as well as fast-paced, full-day ridge traverses in summer and fall in the lesser-travelled corners of NH & ME. In winter she leads day hikes and backpacks in NH & ME and can be found helping out at the Boston Winter Hiking Program.
