Introduction to Sea Kayaking, Part 2, Navigation

This session will cover the basics of sea kayak navigation with both practical sessions on land and on the water. Topics covered will be: chart and compass skills, boating channels and navigational aids, tides, and nav-on-the-move. Preference given to those who attended Part 1 - Basics, otherwise must be confident in a sea kayak in coastal waters. This session will take place in Hingham Harbor. A 14 foot (minimum) sea kayak with fore and aft bulkheads, spray skirt, PFD, are required.
