Little Compton Ramble

AMC offers COVID conscious opportunities to enjoy the outdoors locally, visit many of our lodges and campgrounds, and join virtual events and activities. Participants of all in-person events should bring and wear face coverings, expect social distancing, and changes to our usual practices. Please join me for a lovely 38 mile moderately paced autumn ride in and around Little Compton RI. A little known historical fact. The Rhode Island Red is a breed of chicken originally bred in Adamsville, a small village that is part of Little Compton. Little Compton is the only place in the United States with a monument dedicated to a chicken (really it's true!). We will visit a couple of beaches and get plenty of ocean views. Feel free to bring your lunch or purchase something in Little Compton. You must have a bike in good working order and of course helmets are required. Please make sure you have a spare tube and that it was not purchased prior to the 2000 presidential election. I am sorry to say that if it rains we will have to cancel. Sunset will be approximately 6PM.
