An AMC tradition for over 50 years, the annual NH Presidential Range hike is a strenuous and wonderful 9-day hut-to-hut group hiking adventure amid some of the most spectacular peaks in New Hampshire's rugged White Mountains. Depending on the daily hike options you choose, you will trek between 42 and 61 miles, gain 15,000'-22,000' of elevation, and summit between 12 and 24 high peaks, 18 of which are on the official AMC 4000 footer list. Four AMC leaders and max 21 hikers. We hike in small groups averaging 5-7 people based on each day's chosen route options and paces. For more details, visit http://www.amcnhprh.org. Please note that participants are expected to comply with the CDC, state, and AMC-issued COVID precautions in place at the time of the trip.
Registration deadline: extended to June 30, 2021. Cost: $1145/$1195 (AMC members/non-members), due upon acceptance; covers 8 nights lodging, lodge and hut dinners and breakfasts, gratuities, trail lunches/snacks, and in-hike transportation. Cancellation: up to 6/10/2021, full refund minus associated transaction costs if any; after 6/10/2021: refund possible to the extent that we are able fill your spot with a hiker from the waitlist. To address unforeseen challenges such as adverse weather, unacceptable trail conditions or excessive crowding, the planned trip destination, activity and/or meeting place and time may be modified. In that event, participants may elect to join in that activity or opt out.

Alex enjoys hiking in all seasons. While best known for fast-paced single day, multi-peak mega-hikes and gnarly back country bushwhacks, he will enjoy sharing his love for the mountains just about anywhere, with hikers at all ability levels.
Elizabeth Ryan is a four-season hiking and backpacking leader with the AMC's Boston Chapter and Adventure Travel. She has completed the New Hampshire 4000 footers, hiked in the Baxter park area and explored some of the glaciated North-west peaks. International trips include hiking in the Scottish Highlands, Newfoundland, Iceland and New Zealand.
Jon finished a round of the New England Hundred Highest just before heading off to the Southwest for four years. He's thrilled to be back in New England and working seriously on the winter 4000-footers. Other fun had in the meantime includes the Pikes Peak Marathon and a rim-to-rim-to-rim run of the Grand Canyon. Goal-oriented but interested in keeping things safe and fun.
I love to hike and backpack, and lead all kinds of trips from beginner, to extra-long day hikes like a single day presi traverse, to multi-day backpacks and bushwhacks. I even lead trips overseas for the Adventure travel committee. It's all good! I've hiked the 100 Highest peaks in NE in winter, and hope to someday hike a long trail like the PCT or the AT.
