AMC offers COVID conscious opportunities to enjoy the outdoors locally, visit many of our lodges and campgrounds, and join virtual events and activities. Participants of all in-person events should bring and wear face coverings, expect social distancing, and changes to our usual practices. Join us for a virtual watch party of An American Ascent, a documentary film about the first African-American expedition to climb North America's highest peak, Denali.

Per the documentary website:
By taking on the grueling, 20,310 foot peak of the continent's biggest mountain, nine African-American climbers set out to shrink this Adventure Gap by building a legacy of inclusion in the outdoor/adventure community.
The film addresses often overlooked issues of race and the outdoors as it follows the team up the mountain, chronicling the many challenges of climbing one of the worlds most iconic peaks.

Options to watch:
There are multiple paid and free options to watch the movie, for our event we will use the free option via Tubi and our discord server so we can enjoy and discuss the film together.
