This trip is part of the Boston Chapter Winter Hiking Program (WHP) and is only open to registered participants of that program. If you would like more information about the WHP, please email us at email@example.com or follow this link.
The trip to Mt. Moriah (4,049 feet) is the longest and most advanced trip offered this season by WHP. The 10-mile out and back trip will include 3,100 feet of elevation gain at a moderate pace. This challenging hike should not be your first winter hike of the season unless you are already an experienced hiker. Full winter gear is required for this trip, including snowshoes. Be prepared for a long day and possibly hiking out after dark using headlamps. To address unforeseen challenges such as adverse weather, unacceptable trail conditions or excessive crowding, the planned trip destination, activity and/or meeting place and time may be modified. In that event, participants may elect to join in that activity or opt out.
