Join the leaders for this loop over two peaks in the Ossipee Range. An early start will earn us several lovely views over Lake Winnipesaukee and the Belknap Range beyond (if the weather cooperates!) This trip will cover 8.3mi and climb 1800ft at a very steady but moderate pace (approx. 1.5mi/hr). Portions of the trail are rugged and participants are expected to have recent similar hiking experience. Microspikes are required, Plan on wearing a face covering with at least two layers all day (except for eating/drinking stops.) Full gear list in "Related links". Space is limited so be sure to keep up-to-date on registration emails.
To address unforeseen challenges such as adverse weather, unacceptable trail conditions or excessive crowding, the planned trip destination, activity and/or meeting place and time may be modified. In that event, participants may elect to join in that activity or opt out.
Jon finished a round of the New England Hundred Highest just before heading off to the Southwest for four years. He's thrilled to be back in New England and working seriously on the winter 4000-footers. Other fun had in the meantime includes the Pikes Peak Marathon and a rim-to-rim-to-rim run of the Grand Canyon. Goal-oriented but interested in keeping things safe and fun.
