Join us for a day hike into the Pemigewasset Wilderness to the summits of Mts. Hancock (4,430') and South Hancock (4,319'). This moderately-paced, 9.8-mile out-and-back hike will make a loop over both mountains and will require 2,700' of elevation gain together with some steep ascents and multiple stream crossings. Although both summits are wooded, each offers its own outlook with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. To address unforeseen challenges such as adverse weather, unacceptable trail conditions or excessive crowding, the planned trip destination, activity and/or meeting place and time may be modified. In that event, participants may elect to join in that activity or opt out.
