20s/30s: Volunteer for fall harvest at Drumlin Farm

AMC offers COVID conscious opportunities to enjoy the outdoors locally, visit many of our lodges and campgrounds, and join virtual events and activities. Participants of all in-person events should bring and wear face coverings, expect social distancing, and changes to our usual practices. To support contact tracing and hands-free signing of the AMC liability waiver, online registration is required for all in person AMC events.

Trip dates: Monday, October 12, 2020 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Join AMC Boston Young Members to volunteer at Mass Audubon's Drumlin Farm and Wildlife Sanctuary! We will assist the crops manager with planting, weeding, and harvesting crops. Afterwards, we can explore the farm and wildlife sanctuary.

Wear clothes and shoes that can get dirty. Please wear closed-toed shoes, not sandals. We recommend light-weight long pants, not shorts, as you will be working at ground level.

Supplies to bring:
Mask: all participants must wear a mask for the duration of the volunteer time
Hand sanitizer
Water bottles
Garden gloves: we will be working in the dirt! (Drumlin is not able to supply loaner gloves at this time)
Sun protection: sunscreen, hat, sunglasses

All participants must sign-up and be screened ahead of time. In order to adhere to AMC guidance, attendance will be capped at 9 participants. We will wear masks and abide by social distancing for the duration of the event.

*Note this trip is on the Monday holiday for Indigenous People's Day/Columbus Day*
