We will celebrate 2020's extra day with two full-day trips in the Sandwich Range Wilderness and the valley to the south. We will choose from a variety of tours using old roads, hiking trails, multi-use trails, and groomed ski trails. Expect moderate pace with several short snack/water stops -- sit-down lunch is unlikely unless temps are super balmy. Limited to six (6) experienced skiers -- comfortable skiing on ungroomed trails and dealing with obstacles like streams and fallen logs, undaunted by the occasional steep hill or possible bushwack, and in good shape. Difficulty will depend as much on snow conditions as terrain: Advanced Intermediate.
Our base will be the leader's house at the foot of Mount Whiteface, where everyone will help with meals.
