Volunteer to improve shrub habitat at Drumlin Farm

AMC offers COVID conscious opportunities to enjoy the outdoors locally, visit many of our lodges and campgrounds, and join virtual events and activities. Participants of all in-person events should bring and wear face coverings, expect social distancing, and changes to our usual practices. To support contact tracing and hands-free signing of the AMC liability waiver, online registration is required for all in person AMC events.

Trip dates: Saturday, December 7, 2019 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM

Join AMC Boston's Young Members (20s/30s) to volunteer at Mass Audubon's Drumlin Farm and Wildlife Sanctuary! We will help improve the successional shrub habitat used by resident and migratory birds, as well as small mammals and other wildlife. Tasks will include pruning and lopping, among other things. Afterwards, we can explore the farm and wildlife sanctuary.

Wear clothes and shoes that can get dirty. If you have work gloves, bring them; otherwise Drumlin has loaner gloves you can use. Bring a water bottle - a must have! Sun protection is also recommended.
