Winter Hike to Mt Flume and Mt Liberty

Trip dates: Saturday, February 8, 2020 12:00 AM

Join us for a winter hike to the summits of Mt Flume and Mt Liberty! This is a long (12+) mile hike to two of the most scenic summits in the White Mountains, offering 360 degree views of the Pemigewasset wilderness, Cannon, and the Kinsmans. This trip is for experienced winter hikers, and prior above treeline experience is required. Daylight is in short supply at this time of year, so you should plan on an early start. There is a good chance we will make our way out of the woods in the light of our headlamps

Trip details

Casey Ajalat

Casey leads trips year around for the hiking/backpacking committee of the AMC Boston Chapter. He is heavily engaged in the H/B leadership and training programs such as Spring/Fall Leadership Training as well as our educational programs in the Spring and Winter Hiking Programs. Like other hikers that hike before sun up and after sun down and do 20+ miles, Casey likes to do the same only keep it under 10 miles :) He's experienced but not a speed daemon

Bob Mackin

Bob is a long time outdoorsman and recently-trained AMC leader. He's an avid hiker, runner, camper, paddler, cross country skier, and cyclist. He completed the Boston Chapter's Winter Hiking Program last year, extending his hiking year by a whole season. He enjoys experiencing the outdoors with people at all levels.

Karen Mackin

Karen has been hiking and backpacking since she was a young girl. If she's not hiking, you can probably find her on her mountain bike or cross-country skis.
