Join the Wednesday Wramblers and Come out to explore the city of Boston as we enjoy the sights ambling along sections of the Boston Harborwalk. A near-continuous, 43-mile linear park along Boston's shoreline, the Harborwalk connects Boston's waterfront neighborhoods to Boston Harbor and each other. The Harborwalk is a public walkway that follows the edge of piers, wharves, beaches, and shoreline around Boston Harbor. We will meet at South Station and make our way over to the Seaport area and then stroll along the beautiful waterfront and take in stunning views of Rowes Wharf. We will meander over to the North End for a bite to eat. For those who are interested, we may extend the walk over to Charlestown. There will be spots to drop off of the walk and take the MBTA home, along the way. Plan to come for as much of the walk as you like. We will walk 4+ miles.
Mary loves to hike, bike, paddle, and walk
I began leading bike trips for the AMC in 1990 and led for ten years before taking a break. When I became active with the Forty Plus Committee I decided to start leading again. I took a refresher leadership course and Wilderness First Aid and now I am certified as a cross-country ski and bike leader. I have met many wonderful leaders and trip participants and Forty Plus has become one of my most enjoyable retirement activities.
