Fall Wrap Up - Paddling Safely in Cold Weather/Water

In support of the national effort to slow the spread of COVID-19 and to minimize the risks to the most vulnerable among us, AMC will immediately begin the process of temporarily closing all lodging and foodservice facilities and suspending all in-person staff and volunteer led programming through April 30.

Trip dates: Monday, October 14, 2019 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Paddling in cold weather/water can be hazardous to your health if you are not dressed and ready for immersion and dynamic conditions.

We will meet at Lake Cochituate with boats and cold weather gear, have a land session on how to dress, what to bring, where to paddle, and what to do in case of an emergency. Then we'll have fun trying out our winter gear on and in the water. Challenge by choice of course! Everyone is invited to participate whether you have a dry suit or not. Try some gear and work collectively for safety and enjoyment of cold weather paddling.

Open to everyone. All skill levels are welcome.
Social hour after at Margaritas
