Come join us for for a fall paddle as the leaves change and the temperature starts to change. This is a quiet flat water paddle with no boat traffic. We will go between 3-5 miles across the lake and down the river and back. This is a beautiful location with quiet, rustic scenery that includes charming bridges, pastures, and cute little houses along the river.
This paddle is intended for those who have their own SUPs as there is no rental location on site, and because the distance is a bit further it is not necessarily the best activity for those brand new to SUP. Plum Island Kayak and Canoe is a close rental location and charges $45 for a half day rental if you are interested in picking up and hauling your own. You will need to call them with credit card on hand to RSVP your rental to make sure they have a board available for you. The phone number is 617-462-5510.
Life jackets are critical and you won't be welcome on the paddle if you show up without one. If you have the belt lifejacket SUP, you need to make sure the green indicator light is on to show that your inflatable is ready to inflate.
We have two leaders and intend to keep the group together, so that means that you will need to adjust your speed accordingly and agree to stick with the group.
Plan to be down by the water by 9:30 and Butts on SUPS by 10:00. We will head down the river and pull up and stop for a snack break, and pick a spot in Amesbury afterwards for lunch.Directions:
We will send out driving directions shortly before the trip after you sign up.
