Join us for a scenic and challenging hike to North and South Baldface where we will see the beginning of fall foliage in the White Mountains. This is a 10-mile loop with a total of 3,500 feet of elevation gain with each peak coming in at about 3,600 feet. The route will take us through a wide variety of terrain that includes forested areas with stream crossings and about 4 miles of open ledge / above tree line trails offering 360° views. Some sections are very steep and will require scrambling. We will hike at a moderate pace (1.5-2mph) but will take our time in the steeper areas. Participants should be comfortable in this type of terrain and expect for a full 8-10 hour day of hiking.
