Join us for a late-summer hike to Mts. Osceola (4,340 ft) and East Osceola (4,156 ft). We will climb out of Thornton Gap at a moderate pace on moderate grades reaching Mt. Osceola summit in a relatively easy 3.2 miles. After briefly enjoying the view, we'll continue another mile to East Osceola, descending a relatively short but steep chimney, for which there is a well-used bypass. We'll then return to Mt. Osceola for a lunch stop, enjoying the views on the mostly open summit. The 8.4-mile out-and-back hike gains 2,950 ft of elevation and should take us about 6 hours depending on the group and the trail conditions. This is a level 3 Couch to 4K hike
