Mt. Major and Straightback Mountain

Join us for a moderately-paced hike to two peaks in the Belknap Range, Mt. Major (1786') and Straightback Mountain (1890'). Hike through deciduous forest, rock hop across brooks, and scramble on and over challenging boulders. Then, be rewarded by spectacular panoramic views of Lake Winnipesaukee and amazing views of the southern White Mountains. Plan to hike approximately 5.5 miles.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome.

Directions:

Rt 93N to Route 95N-Rte 16N to Rte 11W through Alton NH approx 6 miles after the Rt28/Rt11 traffic circle
