Join us for a moderately-paced late morning hike in the Blue Hills. We will be hiking on the Skyline Trail, known to be rugged, strenuous and great training for some of the bigger mountains up north. If we're lucky, we may hit a vantage point to catch a glimpse of our very own Boston skyline. We will be hiking at an average pace of 1.5-2 mph on rocky terrain, up and down the hills, with an elevation gain of 700 feet. Plan to hike 3 miles. Come and enjoy a breath or two of midweek fresh air with us. Well-behaved dogs are welcome (from the Blue Hills Reservation policy: Dogs must remain on-leash).
Alex enjoys hiking in all seasons. While best known for fast-paced single day, multi-peak mega-hikes and gnarly back country bushwhacks, he will enjoy sharing his love for the mountains just about anywhere, with hikers at all ability levels.
