Join us on an 8.6 mile hike along the southern Montalban Ridge, to the summits of Mts Stanton, Pickering, and Langdon, and the Crippies. Depending on group interest, we may extend this hike by 2.8 miles to include the summit of Mt Parker, one of New Hampshire's 52 with a view. These are lightly traveled trails, with nice views along the ridge. Except for some short sections, these trails aren't particularly steep, and we'll maintain a moderate but steady pace, but it will require a good level of fitness due to its length. This will be a great chance to experience a relatively unexplored part of the White Mountains to most of us.
Jon finished a round of the New England Hundred Highest just before heading off to the Southwest for four years. He's thrilled to be back in New England and working seriously on the winter 4000-footers. Other fun had in the meantime includes the Pikes Peak Marathon and a rim-to-rim-to-rim run of the Grand Canyon. Goal-oriented but interested in keeping things safe and fun.
