Join us on a moderately paced ~5.5-mile hike to Mt. Morgan (2,220') and Mt. Percival (2,212') whose peaks overlook the lakes region of New Hampshire. This hike offers rock scrambles, ladders and optionally some small caves. We will summit Mt. Morgan first followed by Mt. Percival for a total elevation gain of ~1,535'. Participants should have some previous mountain-hiking experience. We will stop for a break at each summit to take in the views, weather permitting.
Jon finished a round of the New England Hundred Highest just before heading off to the Southwest for four years. He's thrilled to be back in New England and working seriously on the winter 4000-footers. Other fun had in the meantime includes the Pikes Peak Marathon and a rim-to-rim-to-rim run of the Grand Canyon. Goal-oriented but interested in keeping things safe and fun.
Wil loves to climb, hike and photograph landscapes. He likes being high up: on mountains, rocks, etc. He is involved with hiking and mountaineering events through the AMC.
