Plant native species at Spy Pond

Trip dates: Saturday, May 11, 2019 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Join a Young Members contingent to volunteer with the Conservation Committee at Spy Pond in Arlington. We will be planting native species to stabilize the shoreline soil and restore wildlife habitat. The trails committee will be working in parallel on trail maintenance, and community volunteers will be cleaning up trash and removing invasive species.

Note: the full event runs until 3:00PM, I just have to leave around noon. You are welcome to stay longer with the Conservation Committee if there is still work to be done! Please bring your own garden gloves and any planting tools you have (shovels, hand pruners, and trowels). Water bottles and sunscreen are also recommended; bring lunch if you plan to stay into the afternoon. Directions will be sent to those who register.
