Beginning Whitewater Kayak Instruction

AMC offers COVID conscious opportunities to enjoy the outdoors locally, visit many of our lodges and campgrounds, and join virtual events and activities. Participants of all in-person events should bring and wear face coverings, expect social distancing, and changes to our usual practices. To support contact tracing and hands-free signing of the AMC liability waiver, online registration is required for all in person AMC events.

Experience the excitement of whitewater kayaking in a fun and supportive environment with an outstanding group of paddlers.
Practice wet exits and learn basic paddling skills on a local pond in Concord, then travel to the river during a weekend trip for a two-day instructional trip on Class 1-2 whitewater. Students must be comfortable on and in the water and able to transport their own gear. Dates: June 6 (eve) and June 8-9 (weekend). Tuition: $150/$170, Member/Non-Members. (-$40 with own gear) Camping/meals (~$50) not included.
