Trip dates: Saturday, August 3, 2019 10:00 AM to Sunday, August 4, 2019 2:00 PM

Join us for family camping with canoe and hiking adventures, group dinner, campfire, S'mores and lots of fun. AMC Ponkapaug Camp is on the eastern shore of the 230-acre Ponkapoag Pond in the 8,500 acre Blue Hills Reservation just 13 miles south of downtown Boston. We have planned a night out with a fire and Smores and family friendly canoe experience coupled with friendly walks and hikes on local trails.

There will be several leaders, some of which have extensive canoeing skill. We will help the kids relish the night out experience which will require folks to bring a tent and practice the experience of sleeping next to a pond in a tent with the sleeping bag and pad for their bedding. The presence of other families......and of course canoeing and walks will give everyone a short but fun filled outdoors experience. The canoes, life jackets and instruction, camping, Saturday dinner, s'mores, and Sunday Breakfast are included (you bring snacks and lunch). Camping is primitive (no running water or flush toilets not to speak of showers).
