Join us for the classic Franconia Ridge loop over Little Haystack Mtn (4,780 ft), Mt Lincoln (5,089 ft) and Mt Lafayette (5,260 ft) - a distance of 8.9 miles and an elevation gain of 3,900'. The plan will be to take the Falling Waters Trail up to the Franconia Ridge Trail. After traversing the Ridge and summiting our 3 peaks, we will descend via the Green Leaf Trail and Old Bridle Path. This hike is a serious undertaking in winter with extensive potential exposure to wind, storms, whiteouts and a possible mix of snow, ice and rock on the exposed summits. In addition to possessing full winter gear, including winter boots, crampons, ice axe, snowshoes, microspikes, full face protection and multiple layers, participants should be experienced winter hikers with previous above treeline experience.
