The trip starts and ends in Greenville, Maine in the Moosehead Lake area. The x-c skiing is 6-8 miles each day, going between the four lodges/camps - Gorman Chairback Lodge, Little Lyford Lodge, West Branch Pond Camps, and Medawisla Lodge (2 nights here). Gear is transported for us between each lodge. The skiing is on groomed (but not tracked) trails. It is suitable for intermediate skiers who are in reasonably good shape - not suitable for beginners. Meals are included beginning with dinner on Feb 4 through breakfast on Feb 9. Accommodations are cabins -- Medawisla and Gorman Chairback are "deluxe", meaning they provide bedding and have heated bathrooms in the cabins; Little Lyford and West Branch Pond Camps are more rustic, which means cabins with beds, blankets and pillows (you will need a sleeping bag and towel) and a separate shared, heated bath house. Wood stoves provide ample heat in the cabins. For more info and application, contact leader.
