A moderate hike to the beautiful Mt. Willard (2,864?) with amazing views of Crawford Notch. This is a 3.2 mile out and back with about 1,000' in elevation gain.
There is a stream crossing about 0.4 miles from the trailhead and the rest of the climb is very gentle and steady.
You should have 2 hikes in NH prior to this one. (AMC hike preferred)
Casey leads trips year around for the hiking/backpacking committee of the AMC Boston Chapter. He is heavily engaged in the H/B leadership and training programs such as Spring/Fall Leadership Training as well as our educational programs in the Spring and Winter Hiking Programs. Like other hikers that hike before sun up and after sun down and do 20+ miles, Casey likes to do the same only keep it under 10 miles :) He's experienced but not a speed daemon
