Volunteer to Pull Water chestnut from Mystic River

Saturday, August 20, 2016 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM

The Mystic River Watershed Association is a science-based non-profit organization, monitoring water quality, advocating for improvements and encouraging increased access to and recreation on the Mystic River. A major summer initiative is to remove the water chestnut. If nothing is done, this invasive will completely spread over the river, altering the aquatic life and preventing recreational uses of the river. Your efforts are part of a broader decade long effort to restore the river to a native and diverse habitat.
