Enjoy a leisurely afternoon walk along wooded trails with scenic views of Foster Pond. If we have snow, we'll snowshoe! Meet at 1:30pm at the AVIS Goldsmith Reservation trailhead, 491 South Main Street (Rte. 28) just south of the intersection with Gould Road. Take I-93 to exit 41. Go north on Route 125, exit at Route 28N. Goldsmith Reservation is on the left before the first intersection. Heavy rain cancels.
Join us as we celebrate the new year with X-C skiing at moderate levels and a relaxed pace. Snow shoeing is also available from novice to experienced. Stay at comfortable lodge at the COC in Craftsbury VT. $365 covers 3 nights lodging, 9 delicious and hardy meals and 4 days of skiing.
Experienced Hiking and X-C ski leader
Join AMC friends for Cross Country - Back Country Skiing at moderate level, easy pace including snowshoeing from novice to experienced. Ski Touring Center available to all levels. Downhill skiing at Waterville Valley nearby. Stay at comfortable Mountain Fare Inn, Campton, NH. $365 covers lodging, 3 breakfasts, 2 dinners, 2 happy hours.
Annual Ski & Games Nordic Skiing with downhill option at Bretton Woods. Feb 16-18. Stay at the Highland Center at Crawford Notch, just minutes away from Bretton Woods Nordic Center. Bring board or other games to play in the evening. Intermediate level trip.$195-$289, depending on the room type: 2 persons per room with private bath, 4 or so per room with shared bath. Fees include Sat/Sun breakfasts, Sat dinner, 2 nights' lodging and linens/towels, shared or private bath. Cross-listed with Intro and Ski committees. Bring games to play, trail ticket money, and lunch food.
Debbie has been leading ski trips for the AMC for more than 20 years. She is a nature photographer and enjoys cross country skiing and swing dancing.
Carla Schwartz has a strong appreciation for the outdoors, and is an avid XC skier, cyclist, and long-distance swimmer. She has been leading XC ski and bicycling trips for the AMC Boston Chapter since 2004. She enjoys showing people places she loves and her trips have a strong following.
Up to 85K of groomed XC ski trails. Optional snowshoeing, ice-skating, and apres-ski sauna, all in good company of intermediate skiers. Approximately $235.00 (depending on group size, there is usually a refund) includes three days of trail passes, two nights lodging, linens, and six sumptuous, healthy meals (Friday/Saturday dinner, Saturday/Sunday breakfast and lunch, and a potluck social hour on Saturday. I have been leading XC ski and cycle trips for the AMC for many years. I am an avid outdoors person, and have fun introducing the outdoors to others.
Join us for this annual event. On Saturday, we snowshoe about 4-5 miles over a scenic, but easy terrain.
