Moderate 5-mile hike that includes ponds, cabins, lodges, and remote woods. 10:00am-1:30pm. Bring lunch, water, and sturdy shoes. From I-95/Route 128 Exit 16, take Route 109W for 0.75 miles to a right on Dover Road. Travel 0.3 miles to a right on Carby Street, 0.3 miles to Hale gate, and then 0.3 miles to the Cat Rock lot on the left. Storm cancels. No dogs. Non-AMC members, $1.
Admire remaining foliage and share some revolutionary tales along Battle Road Trail in Minute Man National Historic Park in Concord. Walk 7 miles from the Minute Man Visitor's Center to the North Bridge-with better footwear than the what the Redcoats had in 1775. Meet at 9:15am in Concord at Old Manse/North Bridge parking lot on Monument Street. Leave most cars there, taking a few full cars to the parking lot at the Visitor's Center. Walk will be along Battle Road Trail with picnic lunch stop at Miriam's Corner.

From I-93/Route 128 Exit 3, head north to the stop sign at Hillside Street, then turn right and travel 0.2 miles to the lot on the right. Rain cancels. Fast-paced hike starting at Caryl Park in Dover at 10:00am. Approximately 5 miles. I-95/Route 128 Exit 19 (Needham), take Highland Avenue for 1.8 miles to Needham Center. Turn right onto Route 135 for one block, then left onto Chestnut Street south for 1.5 miles. Bear right at the fork onto Dedham Street and travel 1.5 miles to the parking lot on the left at tennis courts just past Mill Farm barn. No dogs. Non-AMC members, $1.
