Weir Hill, North Andover

Short hike to the summit of Weir Hill, Trustees of Reservations double drumlin with beautiful view of Merrimack Valley. From 9:00-11:00am. Bring water, snacks, and hiking boots. I-93 to Route 125N for 7.3 miles, then left on Route 114W. Right on Route 125 and go 0.2 miles, then turn right at the lights and go 0.6 miles (past Stevens-Coolidge Place). Turn right at the fork and go 0.2 miles. At Old North Andover Center, go straight for 0.1 miles and turn left on Stevens Street. Go 0.8 miles to the entrance on the right. Storm cancels. No dogs. Non-AMC members, $1.

Harold Parker State Forest, North Andover

From 10:00am-2:00pm. 6 miles of mostly flat terrain with some rocky areas and small hills. Bring water, lunch, and appropriate clothing for the weather. In the event of snow, bring snowshoes. I-95 Exit 41 to Route 125N for 2.8 miles, then turn right at the State Police station (Harold Parker Road) and go 1.4 miles to the end. Blizzard cancels. No dogs. Non AMC members, $1.

Moderate to strenuous 5-mile hike over many hills and rough terrain. From 9:00am-2:00pm. Bring lunch, water, and snacks. Meet at Northeast Metro School. From Route 1, Saugus, take the Main Street exit west for 2.5 miles (becomes Farm Street), then right on Hemlock Street to the end. From Route 128/I-95 Exit 39, Wakefield, take North Avenue east for 2.5 miles (becomes Nahant Street), then right on Farm Street, and left on Hemlock Street to the end. Rain cancels. No dogs. Non-AMC members, $1.
