I-93 Exit 32 in Medford, head east on Route 60 for 1.2 miles to a left on Highland Avenue. Continue 0.5 miles and turn right on Glenwood Street. Travel 0.6 miles and turn left on Washington Street. Hike to Turtle Pond. Glacial formations and Bald Hill with views, from 1:00-4:00pm. From the junction of Washington Street, West Roxbury Parkway, and Enneking Parkway, head south on Enneking Parkway for 1.3 miles to the stop sign, then turn left and go 0.3 miles to the parking lot on the right. I-95 Exit 57 in Newburyport to Route 113W for 0.7 miles, then right on Hoyt's/Gypsy Lane to parking lot on the right at the end. $2 parking fee. No dogs. Non-AMC members, $1.
Brisk 8-mile hike with lunch at scenic pond, 9:30am. Bring lunch, water, and sturdy footwear. Route 3 Exit 14 to Route 228N toward Hingham. Easy walking through meadows and crop lands on 100+ acres of Trustees of Reservations historic farmland, plus parts of Hale and Noanet Woodlands. From 1:00-3:00pm. I-95/Route 128 Exit 16B to Route 109W. Follow for less than 1 mile and turn right on Dover Road. Follow for 2.5 miles, and turn left into the farm immediately after the big gray barn. Meet at the parking lot near the main barn, close to the street. No dogs. Non-AMC members, $1.
Moderate-to-strenuous 7-mile hike to an open summit with good views. Bring lunch, water, sturdy boots, and warm clothing. Some winter gear may be required. Meet at 9:00am for carpool at Lincoln RR station. I-95/Route 128 Exit 28 to Trapelo Road, travel west for 2.5 miles to the end. Turn left onto Lincoln Road and travel 1.3 miles to the RR station parking on the right before the tracks. Storm cancels. No dogs. Non-AMC members, $1.
6-mile hike to quarry, Berry Pond, Sterns Pond, and other points of interest. From 10:00am-2:00pm. Mostly flat terrain with some rocky areas. Winter hiking shoes and snowshoes are advised. Bring water, lunch, and something warm to drink. I-93 Exit 41 in Wilmington to Route 125N. Travel 2.8 miles and turn right at State Police Station onto Harold Parker Road.
