FREE SLIDESHOW & POTLUCK SERIES Potluck @ 6:30 PM, Show @ 7:15 PM. Join hiker/photographer/environmentalist Harvey Halpern as he takes us to the most beautiful, least visited Public Lands in Utah's Canyon Country. Most of these lands were included in the Tribal proposal for Bears Ears, but none of them were included in the original designation of Bears Ears National Monument by President Obama. This would be rectified by a new bill that seeks to restore Bears Ears AND include all the lands proposed by the five Native America tribes.
Julie most enjoys leading challenging backpacks as well as fast-paced, full-day ridge traverses in summer and fall in the lesser-travelled corners of NH & ME. In winter she leads day hikes and backpacks in NH & ME and can be found helping out at the Boston Winter Hiking Program. She also coordinates the AMC Boston Slideshow Series & Potlucks at AMC's Joy St Auditorium each month.
Julie enjoys leading challenging backpacks as well as fast-paced, full-day ridge traverses in summer and fall throughout NH & ME. When not leading in the summer, she is often doing trail work on her adopted trail, Air Line, on Mt. Adams' Durand Ridge. In winter, she is obsessively x-c skiing wherever there is snow, and leads winter days hikes and backpacks in NH & ME. She also coordinates the Boston Slideshow Series at the AMC Headquarters in Charlestown.
