Shakespeare on the Common with Young Members

Tuesday, July 23, 2019 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Join AMC Boston Young Members for a night at the under the stars. "Free Shakespeare on the Common" returns to the Common soon with Shakespeare's lovely mystical dramedy "Cymbeline". The play chronicles the fates of King Cymbeline and his family through a journey of deception, intrigue and separation. Join his daughter Imogen, one of Shakespeare's most beloved heroines, as she is swept into a nearly mythic realm of mistaken identities, twists and turns, and the all-consuming quest for true love. Pretty much like Game of Thrones.

Volunteer with Depave Somerville

Saturday, May 18, 2019 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM

Join Young Members (20s and 30s/young at heart) for a depaving party! We have volunteered at these events before and they're always really fun and different. We will be using sledgehammers, pickaxes, and wheelbarrows to tear up asphalt from a "yard" in Somerville to allow the property owners to use the former lot for green space! This helps to soak up rain, make room for plants to support pollinator species, and decrease the urban heat island effect.
