Join us for a Winter weekend at Sub Sig Cabin in Hart's location in Crawford Notch down the road from AMC Highland Center. This is a half century old hidden jewel … in fact it is called Hart's location and the cabin ( Sub Sig) is rustic yet clean and functional with an outhouse ( yeah) and hauled in water. We will plan a hike/ cross country skiing choice both Saturday and Sunday as well as group breakfasts and a supper prepared by us all on Saturday evening. Trip is recommended for families with kids ages 7+. Group size is limited to 15 lucky souls.

He also enjoys snowshoeing, cycling, canoeing, and kayaking. He has volunteered for several years with the AMC Boston Chapter Ski Committee, first as Trip Coordinator, then as the Committee Chair, now just helping out.
A crossover from alpine, I enjoy freeing my mind with free-heel skiing.

Come ski the backcountry!
The Backcountry Ski Workshop offers a chance for backcountry skiers of all disciplines and levels to tour in the backcountry and learn new skills. Whether you are a novice who wants to learn the fundamentals, or an expert looking to refine your skills, this weekend will have something to offer you. There will be groups for Nordic backcountry, telemark and alpine touring, offering basic instruction as well as more advanced groups focused on a full day of touring.
Join us for the Boston AMC Ski Committee Open House 6:30-9:00pm.
Family President's Day Weekend at AMC's Noble View Outdoor Center in the Pioneer Valley, about 1-1/2 hours west of Boston. Activities include hiking, snow shoeing, x-c skiing, and family 'snow fun' like sledding or making snow people! The accommodations are rustic, but comfortable and cozy, heated by wood stoves. The twin beds have mattresses, but we bring pillows, sheets, and blankets or sleeping bags. We need to be flexible regarding sleeping arrangements which may be co-ed to keep families together and some kids will be in sleeping bags on the floor.
Come ski with us!
If you are a skier or snowboarder of any type, and would like to get engaged with leading trips and helping to organize ski related events this is the meeting to be at.
While the discussions are predominantly around coordinating trips and events, this is a great opportunity to get in contact with other skiers, see what we have to offer, and to find a place to help develop ski and snow related outings and events.
Please contact Mike Bratina at email@example.com for the meeting details.
Time to dust off your skis, dig out your boots, and exercise your quads for the upcoming season. We plan to skin up Pat's Peak (near Concord, NH) and ski down open trails. Not much vertical here, so plan on 3-5 laps until we achieve "burning legs of fire". AT and Telemark skiers of all abilities welcome. No registration needed - contact me for meeting place (TBD).
Jeff has led resort and backcountry ski trips for many years including Mt Washington. He teaches telemarking for AMC workshops and actively supports Boston ski committee.
