Hey Pinheads! Telemarkers will gather at Mad River Glen for North American Telemark Organization (NATO) telefest. This event includes free equipment demos, telemark clinics, and a rocking party afterwards that makes this event a must-show. We'll stay at an AMC member's place (LOF) for $75, including meals (lift tickets extra -- see NATO web link below for details). An optional backcountry tour in Green Mountains will be offered on Sunday. Sign up early - limited space available and this trip always fills.

AMC offers COVID conscious opportunities to enjoy the outdoors locally, visit many of our lodges and campgrounds, and join virtual events and activities. Participants of all in-person events should bring and wear face coverings, expect social distancing, and changes to our usual practices. To support contact tracing and hands-free signing of the AMC liability waiver, online registration is required for all in person AMC events.
Learn to telemark or improve your turns at Wachusett Mountain Ski Area! Alpine or XC crossovers will telemark on easy grades; intermediate freeheelers will ski steeper terrain. Metal-edged backcountry or telemark skis and stiff boots required. Small group instruction based on ability and equipment. $55/members, $65/non-members includes lift ticket and instruction. Get ready for the 2012 ski/ride season by attending the Ski Committee Open House at AMC's Joy Street headquarters in Boston (Cabot Auditorium). From 7:00-10:00 PM, we'll have XC, skate, backcountry, telemark, and alpine skiers and snowboarders discuss gear, places to ski/ride, and trip planning. There will be a slide show, light refreshments, and a raffle for some valuable prizes.
