Get ready for the 2012 ski/ride season by attending the Ski Committee Open House at AMC's Joy Street headquarters in Boston (Cabot Auditorium). From 7:00-10:00 PM, we'll have XC, skate, backcountry, telemark, and alpine skiers and snowboarders discuss gear, places to ski/ride, and trip planning. There will be a slide show, light refreshments, and a raffle for some valuable prizes. Spend three nights at a converted barn (LOF), only a 15-minute drive from lift-served Jiminy Peak ski resort, where you'll participate in a two-day (Saturday/Sunday) telemark workshop led by expert North American Telemark Organization (NATO) instructors. Are you ready for winter? It's time to tune the board(s), gather your gear, and exercise your quads for the season ahead. Day trip to Cannon, Sunapee, Wachusett, or wherever we find best snow and cheapest passes. Everyone welcome to join-friends, relatives, and kids-the more the merrier! Doesn't matter how you get downhill: alpine, snowboard, or telemark (exception: snowmobiles). Group discount will depend on how many we have, so please register to help negotiate a nice discount.
