Just across the street from the best snow making machine, Mt Washington sits Bretton woods. NH's biggest ski area. What it lacks in steeps it makes up for in glades and great scenery. If you haven't been here since the expansion you've missed some great skiing. Great fun for all abilities. The tree skiing is the best in NH never a dull moment. 2 nights at the bunkhouse includes breakfast. Dinner and lift tix available at extra cost.

Learn to telemark or improve your turns at Wachusett Mountain Ski Area! Alpine or XC crossovers will telemark on easy grades; intermediate freeheelers will ski steeper terrain. Metal-edged telemark skis and stiff boots required. Small group instruction based on ability and equipment. $55/members, $65/non-members includes lift ticket and instruction (fee may change closer to event date). Three days of XC, Downhill, and Backcountry skiing in the Pinkham Notch area. XC skiing at Jackson, Bretton Woods, and/or Bear Notch. Downhill skiing at Wildcat, Attitash, or Black Mtn, and a variety of intermediate to advanced backcountry trails including Mt Washington. Stay at rustic Harvard cabin (see FAQs on cabin). Cost is approx $100 ($120 for non-members) includes lodging, dinners, and breakfast. Option to leave Sunday for those working the holiday. Hey Pinheads! Don't miss the premier telemark festival at Mad River Glen, sponsored by NATO (N. Americal Telemark Org). Freeheelers from all over come for skiing, socializing, equipment demos, telemark clinics, and live music that will rock your boots off. We'll stay at an AMC member's place for only $80, including meals (lift tickets extra -- see NATO web link below for details). An optional backcountry tour in Green Mountains will be offered on Sunday. Sign up early - limited space available and this trip always fills early.
Its time to dig out the boards, gather your gear, and exercise your quads for the upcoming season. Its also an opportunity to burn off some the holiday treats and dinners. This is a show-and-go trip to Ragged or Cannon, depending on conditions and who offers us the best pre-season, group discount ($45 is estimate). All skiers and riders are welcome, so bring your friends, kids, or relatives for a day of fun on snow. No deposit is necessary, but please let me know if you are coming - this helps me negotiate our group discount.
