Get ready for the 2014-15 ski/ride season by attending the Ski Committee Open House at AMC's Joy Street headquarters in Boston (Cabot Auditorium, 4 Joy Street). From 7:00-10:00 PM, we'll have XC, skate, backcountry, telemark, and alpine skiers and snowboarders available to discuss gear, places to ski/ride, and general trip planning. There will be a slide show on high backcountry skiing in British Columbia, light refreshments, and a raffle for some valuable prizes.

Learn to telemark or improve your turns at Wachusett Mountain Ski Area! Alpine or XC crossovers will telemark on easy grades; intermediate freeheelers will ski steeper terrain. Metal-edged telemark skis and stiff boots required. Small group instruction based on ability and equipment. $55/members, $65/non-members includes lift ticket and instruction (fee may change closer to event date). Register today at email@example.com. Annual Ski & Games Nordic Skiing with Downhill option at Bretton Woods. Feb 27 - Mar 1. Stay at the Highland Center at Crawford Notch, just minutes away from Bretton Woods Nordic Center. Hey Pinheads! Everyone will be at NATO's 40th Telemark Festival at Mad River Glen. Skiing, socializing, equipment demos, telemark clinics, races, and a rocking apres-ski party with live music that will rock your boots off. Alpine skiers are welcome to join the fun (snowboarders are not allowed on lifts at MRG :-( sorry) We stay at an AMC member's cabin for $80, which includes 3 meals (Sat & Sun breakfasts, Sat dinner; lift/festival passes extra). An optional backcountry tour in Green Mountains offered on Sunday.
