Meetup at Ragged Mtn in NH for day skiing. No formal instruction, simply skiing with AMC volunteer instructors offering hints and suggestions. This clinic is a follow-up to Jan 7 telemark clinic at Wachusetts. We will have two groups - advanced/intermediate and intermediate/novice. You can learn a lot skiing with advanced skiers who challenge you and ski runs you may normally avoid. All abilities are welcome (although not suitable for first-timers). Please register for this event with leaders (Jeff Barrell and Phil Mecagni) at [masked] . Cost is $79 (lift pass).

Ski area is just 1 hour and 10 minutes from Boston and offers 1000' vertical. $60/members, $70/non-members includes lift ticket and instruction (price estimated, may change closer to event date).

Intermediate to advanced backcountry skiing and telemarking around Mt Mansfield and Stowe, Vt. We will explore some of the famous but not overly visited backcountry trails on Mt. Mansfield and maybe do some exploring along the Catamount Trail. Expect over a thousand feet of vertical (both up and down) and some awesome glade skiing on the way down. Most of the route down is pretty moderate (and the part that isn't can be sidestepped), but the trip definitely requires backcountry tele-gear (3 pin or above), and not just backcountry nordic (light touring) skis, to be much fun.
