Join us for our annual AMC January Craftsbury cross country skiing trip in the Northeast Kingdom in rural Vermont! Craftsbury has one of the largest cross country ski networks in New England, with full meal service, a gym & yoga room, sauna, and ice skating. Meals are inclusive from Friday dinner to Sunday lunch, buffet-style and always delicious! Price includes trail passes all day Fri through Sun. Gear is available to rent from the onsite Touring Center. The group generally convenes at meals and after dinner to socialize informally. Trip cost is $245, 4 people per cabin.

AMC offers COVID conscious opportunities to enjoy the outdoors locally, visit many of our lodges and campgrounds, and join virtual events and activities. Participants of all in-person events should bring and wear face coverings, expect social distancing, and changes to our usual practices. To support contact tracing and hands-free signing of the AMC liability waiver, online registration is required for all in person AMC events.

Join us for a wonderful day, skiing at the peak of the season. 70K of groomed trails await for our choosing with beautiful windy, hilly, intermediate terrain. We'll keep a moderate pace with water breaks and trail junction pauses to be sure we stay together.

Susan Bueti Hill, AMC Co-leader and active member of the Boston Chapter Ski Committee loves alpine and Nordic skiing, dedicating several weeks per season with ski travel. Susan is also the President of non-profit organization New England Regional Ski for Light, creating year round outdoor sporting opportunities for folks who are blind.
Join us to explore skiing in western MA, southern VT, and eastern upstate NY on the three-day President's Day weekend. We will visit cross-country (XC) skiing areas and backcountry (BC) ski locations. Intermediate XC abilities needed (including downhill control on touring equipment). Stay at a cozy inn complete with jacuzzis and a roaring fireplace. Trip cost of $200 includes 2 nights' lodging, 2 breakfasts, and happy hour. Downhill skiers welcome.
Family ski weekend based at the comfortable but rustic Pinestead Farm Lodge in Franconia, NH. We have several simple "suites" of rooms with shared bath and kitchen facilities. Breakfast and dinner are group events at the lodge. Lunch materials provided. Pinestead is 10 minutes from Cannon Mountain and 5 minutes from the XC ski trails at the Franconia Inn. Bretton Woods Alpine and XC areas are about 45 minutes away.
I'm an "alumni leader" for the Family Outings group. I led ski, camping and hiking trips for many years until my son "aged out" but I still love hanging out with kids and sharing my joy in all things outdoorsy with kids and parents alike. I also love to cook for groups and get folks together over the prep table.
I was the long time chair of the family outings committee and led dozens of trips over the years before my kids "aged out". I love to play outside - especially on XC skis, in a solo whitewater canoe or on my sailboat and I thoroughly enjoy teaching kids (and adults).
Join us for a weekend at Sub Sig Cabin in Hart's location in Crawford Notch, NH down the road from AMC Highland Center. This is a half century old hidden jewel …in fact it is called Hart's location and the cabin (Sub Sig) is rustic, but comfy with an outhouse ( yeah) and hauled in water. We will plan a hike choice both Saturday and Sunday as well as group breakfasts and a supper prepared by us all on Saturday evening. Trip is recommended for families with kids ages 7 and up. Group size limited to 12 lucky souls.
Brian is a seasoned hiker and backpacker. His interests are fitness and nature, with a strong fondness for urban parks and anything involving the Olmsteads..thats right ..it was a family business. Brian enjoys leading urban walking trips as well as 4 season trips for families in Boston and new Hampshire. Both backpacks as well as hikes are interesting and fun for children and their families. Within the last year, he has been involved with shelter, hut and all season experiences in the whites.
