Tidewater Canoe and Sea Kayak Camping Weekend. Easy paddling, good food and informal instruction available. This is a good introduction to a Tidewater Paddling area that is ideal for sea kayaking. The 2015 Fall Gathering will be held October 16-18 and is being hosted by the Mohawk Hudson Chapter. Join AMC members from all chapters at Camp Chingachgook, nestled along the shore of gorgeous Lake George in the Adirondack Mountains.
Join dozens of AMC Young Members for a weekend getaway to Three Mile Island Camp (TMIC), Lake Winnipesaukee, NH. Situated on an island of 43 rocky woodland acres, TMIC offers a delightful recreational experience in the heart of New Hampshire's lake district. Exploration of the woods, swimming, boating, and nature walks are just a sampling of the pleasures this island getaway offers.
Join us after work for a leisurely sunset paddle on the Assabet River in Stow. Headlamp required. PFD must be worn at all times on the water.

Join us for a fast-paced workout on the Sudbury River. We will paddle upstream from the Lincoln boat launch on Rt 117 at a steady, 3+ MPH pace, with short breaks as we pass through Lincoln, Sudbury, and Wayland. Our return back downstream to the cars will be at a more relaxed, conversational pace. Total distance will be 12-15 miles.
Limited to well-conditioned paddlers in 14+ ft touring or sea kayaks. PDF, sunscreen, and plenty of water required.
Paddle our local nationally designated Wild & Scenic Rivers. Launch at the Lowell Road bridge in Concord. Stop at the Old Calf pasture across from Egg Rock and and then explore the lower Assabet and Sudbury Rivers and upper Concord River. Rest stop at Old North Bridge, walk at Great Meadows and option to end at the Old Manse to particpate in Summer Solstice activities (http://bit.ly/1cytY8t) at 6 pm.
Bring your own canoe/kayak and life jacket (required), or rent at the South Bridge Boat House (978-369-9438, 486 Main Street).
Join us after work for a leisurely, two-hour, sunset paddle on the Assabet River in Maynard. 100 yard carry to put in. Headlamp and PFD required.

Come to our Wednesday evening (5:30 pm - dark, thru Sept 16) pond socials! These are informal get-togethers at a pond in Concord (near Walden Pond) to practice paddling skills, roll whitewater kayaks and play around.
Everyone is welcome to join us with their own boat! We have WW kayak rentals for $10. You must be able to transport the kayak from the boathouse to the pond and back (approx. 5 miles).
