AMC offers COVID conscious opportunities to enjoy the outdoors locally, visit many of our lodges and campgrounds, and join virtual events and activities. Participants of all in-person events should bring and wear face coverings, expect social distancing, and changes to our usual practices. To support contact tracing and hands-free signing of the AMC liability waiver, online registration is required for all in person AMC events.

All are welcome. Meeting is at the Arlington Public Library, basement Conference Room, 700 Massachusetts Avenue in Arlington Center. Accessible by public transportation using the 77 bus from Harvard Square.

Mary P. C. Cummings Estate Trails Project

Join us for a continuation of our National Trails Day project in the west side of the Cummings Estate. The day's project will include brushing, blow down clearing, and trash removal on the Belmont Road trail that provides access to the west side of the Estate. The project is a continuation of the trail work started in 2010 to improve access to the Estate from Burlington. We'll begin at 9 AM and work until 3 PM. Volunteers who can't work the full day are encouraged to come for the morning or afternoon. Reservations required. More info at link below.

Foliage Hiking with Full AMC Cardigan Lodge Service in NH

We will be staying at AMC's Cardigan Lodge and hiking in Mount Cardigan State Park located in Orange and Alexandria, NH. The summit of Mt. Cardigan is at 3,121 feet. It is flanked by two smaller peaks; Firescrew Mt. at 3,040' and Gilman Mt. at 2,620'. There are several trails that start right at the lodge and provide a variety of hiking challenges on terrain similar to that found in the White Mountains. This is the perfect trip for adventurous individuals and groups of friends who love comfortable accommodations and backdoor access to outdoor activities.

Shattuck Reservation Bay Circuit Trail Project

9AM to 3PM. Join us at Shattuck Reservation to work on new trail for the Bay Circuit Trail. Shattuck is The Trustees of Reservations' 245 acre parcel along the Charles River, and the new trail will substantially increase the off-road trail in Medfield. We will be working on constructing boardwalks, bog bridges and footbridges for this new connection from Causeway St to Noon Hill Reservation. Reservations required.

Spy Pond Trails Project
