A4C, Carter-Moriah Trail work volunteer opportunity.

Sunday, May 25, 2014 12:00 AM

Have you enjoyed the outdoors? Here is your chance to pay it back. Come spend the day hiking Mt. Moriah and conducting basic trail work. We will concentrate on "waking the trail from winter" by clearing the water bars of fallen foliage to allow for spring drainage and clearing brush. This is a great chance to hike a 4000 footer with a great view of the presidential range while giving something back to the trails. Skills, tools, trail snacks and adult beverages will be provided by the leader.

Climate Change Performance Art - SILA

Thursday, April 24, 2014 12:00 AM to Saturday, May 24, 2014 12:00 AM

SILA: a new play by Chantal Bilodeau
On a remote island in the Canadian Arctic, eight characters - including a scientist, a poet, and two polar bears - respond to a rapidly changing climate, environment, and world. Blending Inuit myth, contemporary Arctic policy, and three different languages (English, French, and Inukitut), SILA - the Inuit word for the breath that connects all living things - investigates the competing interests shaping the future of our planet.
